Register now for our upcoming webinar, ‘Charting the currents: the potential of open marine data’, taking place on Friday, 13 June 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 CEST.

To truly grasp the impact of open data, real-world use cases are essential. They demonstrate how these resources can be transformed into actionable insights that inform decision-making and contribute to positive change. In particular, timely and openly accessible marine datasets have proven crucial for enhancing the health and sustainability of European maritime ecosystems. In this session, we will dive into how open marine data is being used to tackle environmental and societal challenges through real-time use cases. You’ll hear from experts presenting two promising case studies:

  • Marine Analyst: Launched in 2020, this platform streamlines access to global marine datasets and analytical tools, supporting diverse applications from climate research to marine renewable energy.
  • Digital twin of the Southern Baltic Sea: Learn about a pilot study along Poland’s Hel Peninsula, where hydrodynamic monitoring and numerical modelling are paving the way for a digital twin of the Southern Baltic Sea.

The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with our expert speakers.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with a calendar invite and webinar link. This session is part of the ‘Incorporating open data into your application’ course by the data.europa academy and will be recorded for future access.
