Session 1: Foundations of effective data visualisation

In this first session, taking place on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST, you’ll explore the foundations of information design and learn Alberto Cairo’s personal decision-making framework for creating meaningful visualisations. You’ll learn how to tailor your design choices to your audience, your communication goals, and the specific context of your data. Expect historical examples, practical insights, and a fresh perspective on what makes data visualisation truly effective.
