Register now for our upcoming webinar, ‘Unlocking the value of energy data: secondary use for a smarter European energy system’!

This webinar explores how the secondary use of energy data can help address key challenges in the European energy ecosystem. It will highlight how the reuse of operational data can support smarter grid planning and enable the integration of higher shares of renewable energy. Participants will also gain insights into how initiatives such as the COSMIC project are working across Europe to optimise energy use, and how these developments connect to the wider European agenda on open data and data sharing.

The session will open with a policy perspective from Andries de Brouwer, Policy Officer at DG ENER, who will discuss the role of energy data in strengthening grid resilience and supporting Europe’s energy and climate objectives. His presentation will also address policy and governance considerations related to sharing energy data across sectors.

This will be followed by a practical use case from the COSMIC project, presented by Adrián Carrasco Revilla, Lead Data Scientist at Inetum. Drawing on large‑scale pilots across Europe, he will demonstrate how shared energy data is used to optimise energy consumption and resource management, helping organisations better understand energy systems, reduce consumption, and integrate renewable energy more effectively.
